In addition to getting to catch up with the community and socializing a bit at the start, this month we’ll have two show-and-tell presentations highlighting recently launched UT sites:
Texas Global Website Redesign
As part of the rebrand, expansion and elevation of the portfolio formerly under the “International Office,” and centralization of global engagement efforts across the university, the Texas Global communications team was tasked with creating a new website to serve as the digital gateway to all things global at UT Austin. This included the creation of an interactive map, marking the first concentrated effort to map internationalization at the university. Texas Global’s digital project manager, Asher Diaz, will walk through the redesign of the new global.utexas.edu, which launched in July 2020.
and then:
UT Drupal Kit 3 - First sites launched!
This month ITS has launched two redesigned websites that are the first production sites using the latest beta release of version 3 of the UT Drupal Kit (UTDK). Paul Grotevant will provide a brief overview of both sites, and talk about what the experience of building some real-world sites has taught the team about the potential and challenges provided by UTDK 3's more flexible design and architecture.
