WebPub Lunch — August 2021: Tailwind CSS Is Awesome

Event Status
Scheduled

It’s a fresh start to a new academic year, and we’re back this month with our (mostly) regularly-scheduled WebPub Lunch series, still virtual in Zoom-land!

Tired of writing out and maintaining unwieldy custom CSS with overly long component selectors like .call-to-action-button--orange? Wouldn’t it be cool if you could just put in shorthand for your most common styles directly in the list of classes on an element? This week we’ll be hearing from Leroy Rosales of the Office of the VP for Diversity and Community Engagement, who will share his insights about his recent use of the Tailwind CSS utility framework (https://tailwindcss.com/) which does exactly that, and more!
