This month we’ll be hearing from Charles Leverington of University Communications, who wants to share their recent experiences with “serverless” automated hosting provider Netlify:

Fast Website Development with Netlify

December and January were super busy times at University Communications!

While working on a rebuild of president.utexas.edu (launched mid-January), we also had to rebuild the UT at SXSW site for 2020.

Netlify (a static-site and automation software service) made a world of difference for quickly iterating through many different project features on the SXSW 2020 site.  Stop in for a review of Netlify and how Netlify + git branching allowed for super-fast prototyping and site launches.

Where:  FAC 328

Who:  Anyone involved in WWW-related work at UT. Designers, developers, content wranglers, project managers all welcome. Sounds like you!

Casual conversation and meet-and-greet(-and-eat) starts at 11:30, presentations start at noon.
